Background: Discharge Against Medical Advice (DAMA) is an obnoxious reality and dissatisfying event to both ends - patient healthcare provider. It’s pertinent that periodical survey at single or multicentre be done identify the predictors seek solutions suggest recommendations. Aim Objectives: of this study was analyze DAMA cases. Objectives were find out prevalence Methodology: A prospective cross sectional analytical a tertiary level multi super speciality hospital central Gujarat. Participants all those cases who for one other attribute consented participate in by non-randomised method. After consent, details from collected pre-validated questionnaire forms patients relatives. All data analysed statistically descriptive statistics. Observations: Maximum age group 20-59 years (55%). followed 60-100 (25%). Most common reason obtaining (56%) financial constraints. having constraints (70 & 46) admitted Intensive Care Unit (33.11%) Male Medicine ward (21.22%) respectively. Conclusion: are damaging not only morbidity mortality wise, but also burdens staff resources negatively. The reasons should discussed every facilities regularly prevent futile event.
